Rice, or 'Akki' as it is known in Coorg, is the staple grain of our local communities. It is used in a number of Coorg delicacies, such as Noolputt ( Rice String Hopper), Paputt ( Broken Rice Cakes ), kadumbutt ( Streamed Rice Dumpling), and Otti ( Rice Rotis). Our blended Coorg rice is made up of two types of rice grains,one for texture and color, and the other for aroma. Rice is hand-washed and sun-dried before packaging, as we like to keep things traditional.
